Who Are We?
The Motto of Lions Club International and the Bethlehem Township Lions is “we serve”. We empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs. Our Club is dedicated to servicing the blind, visually handicapped, deaf and the less fortunate in our community.
The Bethlehem Township Lions Club was founded in 2000 when a small group of people from Bethlehem Township area felt a need for a service organization in the area to assist the Boy Scouts, other youth organizations and the blind and visually impaired. The club holds meetings monthly at the Borderline Restaurant, 2100 W. Union Blvd, Bethlehem, Pa 18018. The club membership is currently at 20, which includes men and women from all nearby communities. Our group invites men and women to join our organization (or visit a meeting to learn more) that is dedicated to the service of the blind, visually handicapped, deaf and/or less fortunate in our community and throughout the world. We raise funds to support the Calvary Baptist Food Bank, The Center for Vision Loss, Angel 34 Childhood Cancer, Back Pack Pals, LCI Foundation (disaster relief), Leader Dog Program, Beacon Lodge, St. Luke’s Eye Program, Diabetes Awareness and Assistance, Eye Exams & Eyeglasses for the needy, Bethlehem Township Community Center, Freemansburg-Bethlehem Township Athletic Association.
